It’s a brand new year! We love the beginning of a new year because it gives us a chance to reflect on the past and gear up for the future. To take inventory of what our clients are loving, but also consider what they’d like to see more of. It’s an exciting time at Amusement Masters’ as it’s ‘out with the old, and in with the new!’

If we were to choose one-word that describes new games and amusements being added to inventory this year it would be ‘innovative.’ Technology driven games have made their way into events and we’re beyond excited to bring those entertainment options to you. From virtual reality systems, to thrilling race courses and physical challenges (like the Adrenalator), we’ve added loads of new inventory that we can’t wait to bring to events across the United States!

INFLATABLE GIANT PLINKO
This game is America’s favorite Plinko game straight from the TV game show, The Price is Right, and brings it to you giant and inflatable! It’s entertainment that’ll make a HUGE impact on your event. THE ADRENALATOR
This addition is a one-of-a-kind race course that will have your event participants competing as they run up a 15’ long moving treadmill at a 27º incline, and then race down via a 15’ long slide. GREEN SCREEN PHOTOS
The Amusement Masters’ digital photo studio with green screen background is easily set up on-site for an event. Individuals, couples, or small groups can pose for a close-up in front of the camera and within minutes have their photo printed and placed into a novelty frame. With our green screen we can customize the background to fit your event theme or company’s brand message. This entertainment and party favor option is great for bar and bat mitzvah parties, birthdays, holiday parties and corporate branding events.

HALOSHOT 360º PHOTOS
Not your average photobooth, this photo novelty is set up in a closed 8×8 foot area that includes a 360º camera suspended from the ceiling of the booth. Groups enter and within seconds, a complete 360º snapshot is taken of the entire group. Our special software then flattens the image and produces a 5″ x 7″ photo that’s printed onsite. The background can be customized with logos or other backgrounds giving your guests a great souvenir from the event!

DANCE HEADS
If you’re looking for engagement at your party…you’ll have a line to this one! Dance Heads is an amusement that superimposes participants’ heads onto professional dancers’ bodies while they lip sync to some of the greatest pop hits of all time. The mesmerizing effect is then completed with fully animated backgrounds that again can be customized for your event. Up to three guests at a time can lip sync to the song while their animated bodies dance to the music. Within minutes, guests receive up to three DVD copies of their performance. VIRTUAL GRAFFITI WALL
The Amusement Master’s Virtual Graffiti wall is most definitely unique entertainment, interactive and produces a really cool photo party favor. The screen allows event guests to interact and add ‘graffiti’ to a green screened photo of themselves. When adding ‘virtual’ graffiti to the screen guests use the special infrared spray paint cans to virtually draw on their own photos or custom background and make giant works of art. Each creation is printed as a 5″ x 7″ photo that includes a custom footer for your event. BRAIN ART
Our newest, and most innovative photo novelty addition to date is Brain Art! This is a creativity base activity, where guests use their own brain waves to create unique pieces of art. Amusement Masters Comes Alive At ISES Live!

In August the Amusement Masters‘ team brought our love of event entertainment and team building to the 2015 ISES Live industry conference. Produced by the International Special Events Society, the annual conference was held this year in one of our favorite cities, New Orleans. We absolutely love New Orleans and our clients in this city – how can you not love producing events where centuries of old architecture is your backdrop!

For any event professional that hasn’t attended an ISES Live conference, you’re missing out. This education event was created to deliver an experience with stimulating industry ideas and promote knowledge sharing with other creative professionals from around the world. Attendees of this 3-day event literally come from all over the globe – many attended that we’re proud to now call friends and a few, clients.

DEAR WORLD, THANK YOU!
The opening session for the conference this year was speaker Jonah Evans of the Dear World project. Dear World unites people through their distinct message-on-skin portraits that are shared worldwide. ISES Live attendees were asked during the morning session to write a short message that mattered to them on their body and be photographed to share their story. We were honored to be a secondary part of this activity, by giving attendees the opportunity to do the same with a custom Amusement Masters’ screen-printed t-shirt.

Our Live Screen Printing booth started the process for attendees where they selected their shirt t-design and then watched it be printed live. Once printed they could then write their Dear World message onto the shirt. For more than an hour, attendees stepped up to experience our Screen Printing Live booth – we loved engaging with each and everyone of them! Not only did the screen printing booth allow for team engagement and bonding, but it gave every attendee a keepsake that will live on long after the conference has ended.

Gourmet Cotton Candy Is One Sweet Treat!

It’s been an exciting fall season at Amusement Masters as we expand into a new market with Gigi’s Gourmet Cotton Candy! A sugary treat that’s perfect for all ages – we just had to add our very own Amusement Masters’ gourmet twist to it. Our cotton candy is made in a wide variety of flavors (some very unique) and each made from air-spun organic evaporated cane juice, using only 100% all-natural flavors and colors. Fat free, Gluten free and pesticide free – the cane juice we use is also produced in a nut-free and dairy-free facility. Cotton candy stations can be incorporated into all types of events, from holiday parties and weddings to bar and bat mitzvah celebrations. Whatever your celebration we have a cotton candy station for you! But before we gush anymore about our sweet treats let us delve into the intriguing history of cotton candy and find out how this treat became so popular.

Electric “Fairy Floss” Candy Machine Advertisement (1905)

Once called ‘Spun Sugar,’ cotton candy dates as far back as the 15^th century for the social elite in Italy. The creation process back then was long and the ‘sculptor’ would literally melt the sugar and then drizzle it over an object, spending hours creating spectacular table centerpieces paired with fruits. In 1897 a dentist named William Morrison and a confectioner John C. Wharton created the first electric-spun cotton candy machine, coining the name “Fairy Floss” (in Australia they still call cotton candy that!) William and John introduced it to a large audience at the 1904 World’s Fair, selling it for just .25 cents. In 1921, a dentist named Joseph Lascaux invented a similar confection machine but instead of calling it “Fairy Floss” he referred to it as Cotton Candy, which was an instant hit. Slowly the old name faded away and the rest is history! We Played At Eventeract!

This Spring we were honored to be a major sponsor for the Eventeract conference in it’s inaugural year. Produced by the Georgia Chapter Meeting Planners Association (GaMPI), the conference was geared towards engaging the meeting and special events planner. The partnership was win-win; it gave Amusement Masters the opportunity to showcase to an audience of planners and it gave attendees two days of play that enhanced the learning experience.

On both conference days Amusement Masters maintained a booth on the expo floor. This gave us an ideal space for meeting with attendees and giving them a small taste of our game and amusement inventory. Our booth was Western inspired and featured the Wild West Quick Draw, our Western Shootout arcade game and our newest game, “Hit The Hero.” The decor was straight from the Wild West with western fencing and barrel decor items. We even brought in comfortable leather seating for guests looking to kick back and take a load-off as they made their way through the expo.

On the first evening of the conference we placed games throughout the conference’s signature fundraiser “The Gathering.” The event theme was “Back to the 80’s.” We loved this theme because it opened the door to bring in a variety of 1980’s Arcade Games and Pinball Machines, our Classic Strip Photo Booth and our new 2014 Instagram Interactive Booth. All in all, Amusement Masters helped keep the 80’s vibe alive that night.

So I had to pull out this photo booth and get it prepped for a wedding this weekend and a Bar Mitzvah the following week and it came to me….Why not feature them as my Game of the Week?!
